What is e-mail?

E-mail is a short term for electronic mail. It is a method of exchanging digital messages from a sender or an author to one or more recipients. Messages are much like postal letters, except that they are delivered much faster than snail mail when sending over long distances, usually free and it needed internet connection for you
to be able to receive and send email instantly.

The main use of email is for communication. It is one of the fastest way of communicating to other people. Email consists of text, images, documents, links and other attachments useful for communication. Correspondence with friends and internal business communication are both daily uses for email.

With email, you can receive the message in just a matter of seconds unlike with the snail mail it takes a day or more days before you can receive the letter depending on the place you are located.

Why is email important?

It is important because it creates a fast, reliable form of communication that is free and easily accessible. Email allows people to foster long-lasting, long-distance communication. It is not characterized by the inconveniences that are generally associated with traditional communication media, such as telephone or postal mail.

Here are the different advantages of an email:
  1. It is easy to use
  2. Don't have to pay for you to send the mail.
  3. Helps the environment since you don't need to use papers.
  4. Academic achievements.
  5. Send notifications and appointments to parents.
  6. The mail is sent and receive in just a second.
  7. It is global since web based email can be accessed anywhere online.
